Welcome to the Good Living Senior Center! The “ St. Johnsbury Senior Center” was established in the town over thirty-five years ago. Several years ago our name was changed to speak to the heart of our purpose: good living. The center is a gathering place for people over 55 years of age who already know a lot about good living from years of experience. Here they can participate in stimulating and fun activities so that their lives can continue to be engaged, creative, and joyful. At Good Living you can spend time with friends, share what you know and learn something new, join a discussion group, see a movie, take a Tai Chi or fitness class, play a game of bingo, bridge, or cribbage, attend a lecture, go on a trip, join in holiday celebrations and special events, and more. The Good Living Senior Center is located in the
elegantly restored St. Johnsbury House on Main Street, close to the St.
Johnsbury Athenaeum and Fairbanks Museum. You or your
relatives may have wined and dined here years ago when it was a grand
hotel. The Senior Center is open Monday through Thursday, with office
hours between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The St. Johnsbury Senior Meal
Site, our “sister” organization, also has its home
at the St. Johnsbury House, serving delicious hot lunches and a
salad bar every weekday. All area seniors are welcome to come
for an activity and a nutritious meal and get a flavor of the good
living that goes on here! |
